Recipes for people with Parkinson’s
Choc, Avocado and Strawberry Smoothie (serves 1)
Berries are highly nutritious and are a great addition to your diet if you have Parkinson’s. They contain anthocyanins which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and may have neuroprotective effects. Not only are berries sweet and delicious but when eaten as part of the MIND diet a significant association has been shown with slowing progression of parkinsonian signs and protecting against cognitive decline.
